| 'Switched On' is a Brightgreen initiative. We challenge the design community to create the world's greatest eco light. It can be a new fixed or free downlight, bulb, lamp, task light or something completely new using the freedoms of high end LED's to combat climate change and planned obsolescence.
Our goal is to create the most desirable, efficient, long life and sustainable lighting products that embody emotional truths that last as long as the LED's themselves.
Why LED's?
LEDs give you design freedom: they are modular and long lasting, allowing for flexible design configurations without the need to change any "light bulbs" during there lifecycle.

Entries close 24 December 2008.
Submissions and all queries are to be emailed by clicking the link below. Submissions must include digital attachments of 3D renderings and relevant specifications.
Designers can enter as many times as they like
The three winning designs will each receive $1000 each. The winner will be decided by a panel the final decision to award prizes is at the discretion of the Brightgreen Product Development Team.
