The Brief:

Replace existing 12V halogen lighting in the entrance foyer of The Oaks Resort tower with an LED downlight which will not only fit the existing cut out holes in the ceiling, but provide lux levels high enough that there will be no noticeable difference in light levels.

The Result:

“Creative Lighting Concepts was engaged directly by the general manager of the Oaks group due to its specialist LED lighting knowledge, as different electrical contracting companies and wholesale lighting suppliers had provided LED replacement lamps and fixtures which did not perform to levels of the sales pitches given. 4 different types of LED downlights had been installed into the foyer ceiling under test and were not providing sufficient lux levels.

A Brightgreen D-900-45-WW was proposed by CLC and installed later that day with management and body corporate members present, giving the united consensus “this is what we’ve been looking for!” An energy efficiency calculator was used to provide the body corporate with the financial out lay, power consumption and estimated savings on electrical running costs for the proposed new LED installation, with a unanimous approval vote to go ahead with the halogen replacement project.

30 x 12V, 50W halogen downlights were removed and replaced with Brightgreens D900-45-WW with an outstanding end result. Not only have the lux levels been maintained, but the heat from the halogen lighting which was ever present in the security locked entrance foyer is gone, taking load off the air conditioning system. Staff members who were unaware that the halogen lighting had been replaced by LED downlights, reported back to management that “the entrance foyer to Newport tower is cool now, it’s not hot and stuffy anymore. Has the air conditioning been changed?”

Aldinga Central Shopping Centre – By Reflex Lighting

The Brief:

Leading commercial and retail lighting consultants and distributors, Reflex Lighting, recently completed a retrofit to Aldinga Central Shopping Centre in Adelaide. The busy shopping centre now operates under Brightgreen’s D1000 LED downlights, which offer exceptional light quality to both the shop interiors and the store products.
